"Via santiago de Compostela" is an individual competition in 14 stages. A 3342 km long road that leads from Zagreb (far east of the AA scenery) to Santiago de Compostela and even further to the westernmost point of Europe, Cabo Fisterra ; Finis Terrae (the end of the Earth) as the Romans said in antiquity.

14 races overall, every Sunday at 06:30 pm UTC or 8:30 pm Paris time, from Sunday 26 March to Sunday 25 June 2017.

For each pilot, Only 10 best results will be accounted for the final ranking.

Needed sceneries : AA [1.0], Eyguieres [1.01], Massif_Central2 [2.0], Perpignan[1.0], pyrenees2 [2.1] and Camino Frances [1.0].

Gliders implemented : Standards, 15-meters, 18-meters and Open.

"Via Santiago de Compostela" is an individual competition open to all pilots owning a legal version of Condor.

"Via Santiago de Compostela" consists of a 14 legs Transhumance. A 3342 km long road that leads from Zagreb to the far east of the AA (Alpine Arc) to Santiago de Compostela and even further to the westernmost point of Europe, Cabo Fisterra ; Finis Terrae (the end of the Earth) as the Romans said in antiquity.

All participants agree to strictly comply and conform to these rules. 


1-    Inscriptions :

- The Condor Club registration is mandatory.
- The competition is free, however, monitor your credit of .ftr files upload. If you are not a Premium member of the Condor Club, you can only upload 5 .ftr files maximum per month.

- Closing date : Saturday 24th of June 2017 at 06:00 pm UTC or 08:00 pm Paris time. 
- Registration at our forum is strongly recommended to be kept informed, especially in case of technical problems shortly before the race:


2-  Calendar :

14 races every Sunday, from Sunday 26 March to Sunday 25 June 2017 at 06:30 pm UTC or 08:30 pm Paris time. 

Important Notice : 

For a to-day unknown reason, the organisers may decide to cancel a race, then, it will be purely cancelled without replacement.

   
3-  Briefing, Sceneries and Gliders :

Briefing :
"H" being the opening servers time (see below), the briefing will be available:
In the form of simplified briefing by email and at the Condor Club at H-45mn.
In the form of full briefing at the Condor Club at H-15mn.

Gliders : Standards, 15-meters, 18-meters and Open. 

- For every race a single class will be proposed and in each class the pilot will select a glider.
- The handicap between gliders will be applied.
- Water ballasting is allowed.

Sceneries : AA [1.0], Eyguieres [1.01], Massif_Central2 [2.0], Perpignan [1.01], pyrenees2 [2.1] and Camino Frances [1.0].

4-  Servers :

- The number of servers will be tailored to the number of registered pilots.
- Server Names: Via Santiago – Server A ... [or B or C etc…].
- Password: will be indicated in the briefing and email from the Condor Club.
- Maximum allowed Ping: 1000 ms.
- Jointime : 20 minutes ( the servers will be available between 20H30  et 20H50 Paris time).
- Race in : 3 minutes for a normal start; there will be no start in regatta mode.
- Window Start: open for 30 minutes.


5- Realism Settings :

- Sight distance between gliders : 5 km.
- Visualization of thermals : no.
- Distance of visibility of TP : 1 km.
- Real-time Score : no.
- External views : no.
- Locked views  :no.
- Glider Repair : unauthorized.
- Altitude recovery : unauthorized.
- Collision Repair: allowed without penalty.
- Flying in the clouds : maximum penalty.


6- Rules in flight :

- 10 km around the starting line, thermals should be circled left (even if the pilot has already started).
- You need to circle in the same direction as the first glider in the thermal. Direction changes must be done outside of the thermal.
- Restart after turning the first TP is not allowed.
- The glider who has the slope to the right has priority.
- Pilots must cross by the right side ("As on our continental roads...").
- Overpassing a glider must be on its right side ( “As on other roads ...”).


7- Calculation of results and Ranking : 

- For each race, the pilot with the best time will score 1000 points from which are deducted penalty points.

- For a field landing points are computed according to the distance travelled.

- A crash during a race gives a null score to the pilot of this given race.

-  In case of absence of FTR the pilot will appear as crashed with 0 point in the listing. 

Important : For each pilot, only the 10 best results are taken into account for the final ranking.

The task being completed or not, the pilot must upload its .ftr file at the Condor Club before  11:30 pm UTC is 01h30 am Paris time, the day after the race.
For doing so, you have to use the link provides at the bottom of the page of the short Condor Club briefing : Condor Club/Rallye des Andes/Classement général/Journée de compétition n°x/Résultats de la course. There you can upload your .ftr.

- After that time, the pilot will not be able to upload his flight file and consequently the above rule for a missing .ftr will apply.

- In case of disconnection, the pilot shall continue the flight offline WITHOUT DELAY and upload the .ftr file at the Condor Club when the flight is completed. The use of the pause button is prohibited. Anyone who does not respect this rule will be excluded from the race.


8- Claims :

- Claims and inquiries by PM (forum Private Message) or email will not be processed!
- Any claim must be submitted under the appropriate topic, not later than 48 hours after the start of the race :
- Claims related to a server failure will not be processed (That's life!)


9- Cheating :

- Any attempt to cheat will be punished by the pilot disqualification.


10- Organisers team :

- SEGUI (SEG), PiedAlu (PIC), major98 (FBV) and Phil_deLaine (PHP) form the organising team.

- If necessary, the organisers team can slightly modify these rules of the competition in order to correct it, if needed.
- The organizing team is the jury. In case of dispute, it is supreme and its decisions are final.

Sunday 30th April – J6: Istres - Nimes Garons - 248 km in 18m on scenery Eyguieres. Difficulty: medium.
